You could:

  • Drive an artic at night locally

  • Drive a Class C vehicle locally or long distance

Our drivers are valuable members of our team, and we reward them accordingly. We are always looking for experienced professional drivers for Artic and Rigids on long distance runs or day work.

Talk to us about the different shift patterns and types of driving work available. Our general distance transport work requires an average of two or three nights out per week, doing both single and multi-drop deliveries.

On the other hand, our day work drivers do local collection and delivery work and don’t spend any nights away.

Ideally we want drivers with at least 12 months experience, no more than 6 points on their licence and with valid DQC and Digital Tachograph cards.

In return we offer:

  • competitive rates of pay
  • a monthly productivity bonus
  • a quarterly no-accident bonus

Our Warehouse Operatives are responsible for the safe and secure loading and unloading of our vehicles, ensuring all freight is safely packaged and undamaged in readiness to be delivered to our customers.

In return we offer:

  • competitive rates of pay (including a supplement for unsocial hours)
  • pension and life assurance cover
  • free on-site parking
  • a uniform
  • ongoing training
  • a supportive, helpful environment and management team

We alternate our shifts weekly so that no one has to do more than their share of unsocial hours. Our shift patterns can change according to business needs, but a typical schedule looks like:

13:30 – 22:00
Saturday Morning: 07:00 – 12:00 (when working the afternoon shift)

You should be able to carry out periodic safety inspections, repairs, servicing, and be able to prepare and present vehicles for MOT. You’ll need an HGV licence to take the vehicles to test.

Our HGV Mechanics are required to diagnose, service and perform repairs on all types of vehicles and trailers, including ensuring they are prepped and ready for inspections meeting VOSA standards. In addition to this you will be required to maintain inventory and workshop cleanliness, and complete any relevant paperwork according to legislation.

In return we offer:

  • free on-site parking
  • a uniform

You should be able to plan and route full loads and groupage within the UK, cost-effectively and efficiently. Our planners are required to ensure a high level of customer service whilst providing quotations and negotiating with subcontractors.

Ideally you should have excellent problem solving and organisational skills, be quick-thinking and be able to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Candidates should also have a good understanding of driver and vehicle compliance.

An LGV licence, management qualifications and/or professional CPC would all be advantageous, but they are not essential, as we feel a thorough practical understanding of the industry and constructive attitude is more important.
